ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR WESTCOL

APS score of 22, using the best of six relevant NSC/NC(V) L4 subjects (inclusive of English); or an
Equivalent NQF level 4 occupational qualification.
An Office Administration L4 certificate
Grade 12 with computer subjects
Grade 12 statement with a pass in Mathematics, English FAL and Physical Science.
APS score of 20, using the best six NSC/NC(V) L4 subjects inclusive of Mathematics/Technical Mathematics and English.
A Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP) certificate with a 50% pass in English and Life Orientation; and a 60% pass in Mathematics and Foundational Science; or a
Grade 9 statement with a 50% pass in Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy and English FAL; or a
AET L4 (GETC) with a 50% pass in Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy and English FAL; or a
Equivalent occupational qualification; or an
APS score of 24, using the best of six Grade 9 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy /Technical Mathematics and English; or a
APS score of 22, using the best of six Grade 10 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy /Technical Mathematics and English; or a
APS score of 20, using the best of six Grade 11 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy /Technical Mathematics and English; or a
APS score of 18, using the best of six Grade 12 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy /Technical Mathematics and English

A Pre-Vocational Learning Programme (PLP) certificate with a 50% pass in English.

REGISTRATION PROCESS AND BURSARY APPLICATION TO WESTERN TVET COLLEGE

The registration process and bursary application cannot be completed without submitting the following documents;

5 Certified copies of the student’s ID.
2 Certified copies of the highest school/college results/report/statement of results.
2 Copies copies of proof of residence reflecting students’ details.
Proof of marital status if married, divorced or widowed.
2 Certified copies of the ID of both Parents/Guardians/Spouse.
If Parents/Guardians are deceased, Supply a certified copy of the Death Certificate.
If the parent is divorced, a certified copy of the divorce degree.
Certified copies of both Parents/Guardians/spouse salary advice slips.
If a Parent/Guardian is unemployed, the parent must make an affidavit at a Commissioner of Oaths.
Certified copies of both parents/guardians’ pension payments are not older than three months from the date of application.

NOTE:

That it’s a criminal offence to submit falsified documents.
Only original certified documents will be accepted.
No scanned or emailed documents will be accepted.
Please ensure that documents are clear and readable.
Certification must not be older than 6 months.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

Only Successful applicants will be notified through sms/email to come and register in Person on the Campus.
Kindly wait for an sms/email regarding the specific date to come and register; Engineering studies Trimester 2 of 2024- please reserve 8th April – 10th May for this purpose.
If you miss the date allocated to you, you will automatically be moved to the waiting list.
You are requested to print the following documents and ensure you and your parent/spouse/legal guardian sign as requested.
