Hendrix College is a private college which is located in Conway, Arkansas in the United States. The college was established in 1876 by Rev. Isham L. Burrow as a primary school in Altus. The college boasts about 1000 undergraduate students at the institute who are made up of various people from different religious backgrounds and is associated with the United Methodist Church.
The church also provides some courses of secular activities for students as well. Hendrix is a college that is associated with South member institutions. In this article, we will be looking at how to apply for the Hays Memorial Scholarships in the 2024-2025 academic year at Hendrix College. The deadline for the application of this scholarship will be in November 2023.
Hendrix College Hays Memorial Scholarships
The Hays Memorial scholarship scheme specifically is awarded to students who have records of exceptional academic potential, intellectual uniqueness, and other achievements outside the classroom. Other personal aspects like leadership skills and initiatives are also considered before one is given the scholarship.

The Hays scholarship covers the full cost of the student’s tuition fees, accommodation, board, and other necessary costs and expenses for the four years of study at Hendrix. The award is given to only four new students every year. Scholarships applications must be submitted before November 15. Students who win this award are allowed summer research works abroad with adequate funding and traveling expenses.

Requirements for getting Hays Memorial Scholarships
1. A senior in high school with a minimum 3.6 GPA in a college preparatory course
2. An ACT “super score” composite of 32, or an SAT combined “super score” of 1430
3. (Statement on Comparing ACT and SAT Results)
4. The Hays Scholarship cannot be applied for with a TOEFL score.
5. Before submitting an application for the Hays Scholarship, candidates must first submit a Common Application for admission to Hendrix.
Hendrix Academic Scholarship
Aside from the Hays Memorial Scholarship, the Hendrix Academic Scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs which is given to students after they have been admitted into Hendrix College. Each student’s academic records and test results are taken into account while determining awards. Standardized results taken from SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS are accepted. GPA is used to determine which students will get the award. However, students are to note that only one score or result from one of the listed standardized tests will be needed.
